Colorimetric Determination of Salbutamol Sulfate using Spectrophotometry-Continuous Flow Injection Technique in Pure and Pharmaceutical Forms

Simple, precise and economic batch flow injection analysis (FIA)-spectrophotometric methods have been established for simultaneous determination of salbutamol sulfate (SLB) in bulk powder pharmaceutical forms. Both based on diazotization coupling reaction SLB with another drug compound (sulfadimidine) as a safe green agent alkaline medium. At 444 nm, the maximum absorption orange azo-dye product was observed. A thorough investigation all chemical physical factors conducted FIA procedures to achieve high sensitivity. Under optimized experimental variables, obeys Beer’s law concentration range 0.25-4 10-100 μg/mL limits detection 0.09 2.51 respectively. The low percentage relative standard deviation less than 1% (n=5) both confirmed applicability these methods. Using F t tests, statistical comparison recommended approaches spectrophotometric method revealed no significant differences accuracy or precision.
